There are certain things in life that are pretty obvious. It's easy to make this statement; and obvious that things are obvious, but I've found that obvious is relative?
Here's one for ya...
Invite people (friends, family, co-workers, teammates, bosses, cashiers, tune up specialists, city counselors, principals, teachers, coaches, mail carriers, salespeople, anyone and everyone you can) to church Easter Sunday.
If you are a Christian and you believe that church is helpful to people in the world we live in, there's not an easier time on our calendar to successfully invite people to church.
So, the purpose is not to get them to merely come to church. It's to get them there and then to come back to church, so that what is going on at church can get into their lives.
Try saying this aloud as you read it...
"I'm not holding back, God's hand is on my life to make a big difference in the world I live in. I make a conscience decision today to be a great inviter and God provides a way all the time. I will do my part to fill His house Easter Sunday and then get people to come back, so God has a fighting chance in their lives."
Ok, if you're still reading this, it didn't kill you. If need be, read it again and again until you are doing what you're saying.
Let's love the church. Easter services are 9, 11, & 6.
Stay strong,
Pastor Bill
