The Internship Class of 2010 had the opportunity to go on a fasting retreat this Monday. It was an incredible time of personal ministry, hearing from God, and unity for the team as a whole. Lives were changed and impacted just through a 24 hour fast and time spent whole heartedly seeking God. See what intern, Lindsay Norton had to say about the retreat...
Sunday night at the retreat while we were praying and worshipping, I had some of the other girls pray for me to break down some of the walls I've had my entife life and to submit to the area that leadership had decided to place me in. 1 Timothy 4:14 says "Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of hands of the eldership." It hit me that I do not know all of the gifts God has given me. It is my job to submit and trust that God knows what He's doing. With that attitude, I became very excited about my position. I came in today ready to go, and I'm fully confident that this is where I will be the most effective. The fasting retreat served its purpose for me, and I'm grateful to have been there.
